I haven't listened to this album from start to finish since the 70s. It's different listening to odd tracks than listening to a complete album the way the musicians intended it to be listened to, and I'm so glad I did. There were tracks that id forgotten all about, my favourite of those has to be South side of the sky, it seems to be a lyrical essay about the doomed Antarctic expedition and it's hauntingly beautiful in the middle section, where Rick Wakemsn plays a simple ice crystal piano scale and Ian Anderson Chris Squires and Steve Howe sing a wordless song in unison that I've now got stuck in my head. I'm not very good at writing reviews so I'll leave it at that, just adding that I'm probably going to play this CD pretty frequently now.

Bought this CD as soon as it came out and was disappointed with the sound quality - poor in comparison with my vinyl copy I previously owned. Only just discovered the original CD was from a lousy master. Great to hear again this 1994 remaster ; sounds more like the album I remember.
