An outstanding independent release from this Atlanta-based singer/songwriter. Her debut, a self-produced low-key folk album centered around Hall's raspy voice and guitar, gives the blueprint for her later releases. Well worth seeking out. Emily Saliers (Indigo Girls) makes an appearance on this album with vocals and guitar. Kristen's strong voice and clear lyrics are undeniable. She puts such emotion into each song and carries the listener down a path during every song. You practically feel her loves and breakups in her songs. Somehow she is able to make you feel like you are the one that the song is about. I have been a huge fan of Kristen Hall since the early 90's. A combination of Folk, Soft Rock, Pop & a touch of Country. I had the pleasure only one time to see her perform during an Indigo Girls concert many years ago. If you listen closely to many bigger name artists, you can hear a bit of Kristens undeniable trademark sounds. She writes for many and I can't wait for another solo act one day soon.Read full review
Kristen Hall is one of the most amazing singer/songwriters to grace our space and anything she contributes to is a MUST HAVE item as far as I am concerned. She has this beautiful warm raspy voice that just reaches into your soul and will not let go!!!!!!!! DO NOT pass up any Kristen Hall music!!!!!!!--Fran
This was a re-release of an amazing album by Kristen Hall. Getting very hard to find, but worth every dime! Kristen is a heartfelt songwriter and guitarist. In my opinion, this first album was her finest. Make sure you check it out, you won't be sorry! Special guest appearance by Emily Saliers of the Indigo Girls.
The earliest Kristen Hall album, a beautiful full album, the songs from which will never leave you once you've heard them. Kristen Hall's most raw and beautiful work, unparalleled.
