I have had this album for years. It was one of my first. Been collecting ever since. This is one of the BEST bands ever. I wanted the cd for my car. Trying to get them all. I haven't received this as of yet but it's on its way hopefully. Thank you...L.C. Oh I got it next day. Thanks. LOVE The Moody Blues. Trying to collect them all again on cds.

Wonderful 1981 album with classic nostalgic songs: Talking out of Turn, The Voice, Gemini dream. Undoubtedly the Moody Blues’ best post’60’s work. Mostly holds up nearly 40 years later.

My first exposure to the Moody Blues was hearing the song "The Voice" on my local Wichita radio station in the year 1981. A few weeks later I heard GEMINI DREAM for the first time and I fell in love with the Moody Blues!! I had never knew who the Moody blues were until I heard those two songs. The first six songs are powerhouses and the rest could be called filler but I'm really starting to like them too, just not as much as the first six. I still like ON THE THRESHOLD OF A DREAM and DAYS OF FUTURE PAST better because they have stellar songs all the way through, but this comes in as a close second to them. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE CLASSIC AND SHOULD BE HEARD BY ANYONE WHO LOVES GOOD MUSIC!!! ENJOY!!!! Just a little short of a complete 5 stars because the last four songs are a little bit weak. For some reason, when people rate the best albums by the Moody Blues, this album tends to slip through the cracks - but it shouldn't. Personally, I like every song on this album. I'm one of the rare Fans l guess, who is not locked in to the "Core 7" Syndrome. I'm open to any song that is reflective of what they do best and that is putting words and music to something as ethereal as what a soul feels and what the heart hopes. NO ONE does that better than they do. That's why so many of us have told them that the songs seem to be the story of our lives. I don't think ANYONE can find fault with the quality of the songs on this album that has "The Voice" as the opening track. It's been great to hear the Moody Blues perform "Talking Out of Turn" as well. If you haven't heard it, it's definitely worth a listen.Read full review

First of all, I have to state that I remember buying this album years ago when it had come out on vinyl. The CD sounds bright and really adds life to such favorites as "The Voice" and "Gemini Dream". This is not as well-known as other Moody Blues albums but was important as it marked the Moodies entry into the 80s- consequently, there's a lot of synthesizer sounds going on but not in an obnoxious way. Lesser known favorites such as "Talking Out Of Turn" will have you going back for more-- listens, that is.
