I find it pretty amazing this album didn't get more attention back in 1989. The band obviously had ample talent and the songs are catchy as hell. There are definitely some "Zeppelin" influences in Tora Tora's style, but they most certainly were not a Led Zeppelin knock-off (as White Snake was unjustly accused of many times in the past). Some songs, like "Love's A Bitch" & "Guilty" are straight ahead adrenaline fueled rockers, while other tracks like "Phantom Rider" and "Being There" turn the volume down a bit and lean more toward a Zeppelin like balladry. It's a shame that this CD is long out of print and hard to find. A friend of mine heard it playing on my stereo recently and immediately wanted to know who the band was. I am certainly glad that I finally added it to my ever expanding hard rock collection. You will undoubtedly be surprised when you get attacked by this criminally underappreciated album.Read full review
This is a must have album....still one of my faves to this day. I prefer this album over all of their others for sure. There really just is not a bad song on this one. My faves are Walkin Shoes, Guilty and Riverside Drive. These guys should have been much bigger. Chalk it up to bad promotion from the A&M label.
Very under rated band of the era. A must have CD for any fans of Ratt Cinderella and Dokken. Anthony Corder voice is classic...Top notch!!!
