Great example of kicking butt with a Fender B-bender! This is Clarence White and the Byrds at their finest in San Francisco's legendary Filmore. I wish I could have been there, but I was a mere lad. So this is the second best thing. You can almost smell the ganja and feel the Haight Ashbury vibe, see the hippie chicks swaying back and forth. I love this album. Anyone who enjoys rock, country, or just play old great git fiddling' will love this album. ALso can see where the great Marty Stuart gets some of his licks!!
This live recording has wonderful clarity for the time period it was recorded. One can definitely hear the lack of harmony once Clarke and Crosby left the band. But the musicianship is still there. I also love there is very little introduction to each song. The McGuinn was more interested in letting the music speak for itself. As a Byrds fan, I am grateful to add this to my collection.

CLARENCE WHITE - the most underrated and brilliant guitarist of all time. The rest of the band is pretty good too, I dare say...

Great live album quality for 1969. Byrds with Clarence White on his electric Telecaster B bender guitar doing things we all scratched our heads wondering how he did it. Classic tunes. If you like BYRDS need to get this.
