electric blues does'nt get any better than this folks. this is my pick for best electric blues of all time. my # 2 being texas flood, by srv. but in terms of production, songwriting, and vocals being considered. the two are not even close. i am still baffled how someone can release an album as incredable as go the distance and not be a household name. this album is a blues rock hook fest feeding frenzy. walters songwrting and vocals are unmatched. walter would probably sell his soul to top this one-and he's a born again! i can't even give my favorate tracks because the whole album is just sooo powerful. the lyrics to these songs will stay implanted in you're brain for days, after your last listen. for me this was my first taste of walter and after hearing this, i bought everything else he has out in record time. but at the same time, i found out that all of his stuff is great,but this is still his strongest set of songs. this is a disc you're gonna want to play in its entirety, without skipping any tracks. with that being said, this is easilly a 5 star cd. i also highly recommend live trout. it is also incredible! walter brings it live everytime and demomstrates why he is every guitar heads wet dream come true!Read full review
You want a review? I Will give you one based on the Blues/Rock nature of this album. I have seen him Live and have most all his albums and can say honestly this man knows the scene as well if not BETTER then anyone in the music industry and is INDEED overlooked and underrated here in the US. Fine with me because the last time he was here in Chicago at the house of Blues their were maybe twenty people in the joint (I alone had around a half dozen buds) and Walter did NOT disappoint not to mention I got his Guitar Pick and tons of photos with the band. Thanks Walter, You and your band are indeed. Wicked!!!!!!
Need heard of Walter Trout first CD I bought and well worth the money will be buying more this man can play the blues I say go for it if you see his music anywhere.
