I mistakenly bought this CD, thinking it was something else. I knew it was a mistake the moment I looked at it. The cover is designed with violence and destruction in mind, as a man holds a gun in more than several photos on the front and back of it. He is apparently set on killing, either himself or others. I only listened to a portion of one song to realize that the lyrics were designed in the same fashion as the cover. If someone were to listen to this in a suicidal state it might surely encourage them in that effort. I am glad that I bought it, because I may have saved someone from that fate, by tossing it in my garbage.
Love Extreme and didn't want to be disappointed. First listen I wasn't immediately sure, but love it now. Gary's voice unmistakeable, good beat, a lot like Nuno on there. Get it, play it, and those complicated lyrics are actually quite easy to learn, join in and enjoy!
i can see why this new project of gary cherone's , only lasted one record . i guess for some reason i was expecting extreme . its a much different sound . i mean its still cherone on vocals , but the rest is much different . the first song left for dead is very good , the rest of the album just didn't impress me . but if you're a fan of gary's , i'd get it . especially for the price i found it for .
It is kinda sad to see an artist such as Gary (whom I've heard is a real nice guy personally) produce less than stellar material. His involvement with Van Halen was nothing short of a fabulous disaster. Now this album save one or two songs is of the same caliber. Watch for it in the bargain bin real soon.
I was disappointed in the album. Gary Cherone is on the cover which led me to believe that he was the lead singer. If he was, it didn't sound like him at all. It just wasn't at all what I expected.
