Easy on the ear either as background listening or apppreciating each song. As it was a second hand CD the case soon fell to pieces but this didn't affect the disc itself.
I bought it because I had heard it recently in a cafe and enjoyed it as background music. When I saw it on ebay I thought it was a very good price. Have enjoyed listening to it over the past few weeks. I would recommend it to anyone who likes this style of music and believe it is well suited to Rod Stewart's voice, although I have never particularly been a fan of his. Thank you.
Saw Rod promoting it on T.V. and thought it sounded good.v Turns out it is a very very good easy listenning C.D.. Even the mother in law likes it so that should keep her quiet over Christmas.
I love the big band sound,and when I heard Rod Stewart singing one track from this CD,I could not believe the sound,the songs are a tribute to the writers of classicial songs that will stay forever,and as for Rod I take my hat off to him,I play this CD all the time whilst I'm driving,it keeps me focused and happy,and of course I sing along,maybe not as good but who cares,I enjoy the sound,this is a must for all big band fans,highly recommended,
Rod Stewart does an amazing job of this american songbook...i have albums 2 and 3 and the first time i heard his first album i remember thinking i know the voice ...and as the tracks went on i thought wow ...i have to collect these..his voice really suits the songs it is so mellow chilled and rich sounding...these are a must for any Rod Stewart fans...
