Billy's fed-up with all you people who jumped ship because of the Rock Me Tonight video! So he made this album to get us back on board.I think he succeeded. While it is apparent from the opening track "Shot O'Love" that the keyboards are slightly more prominent than on Tale Of The Tape(My favorite Squire album),or even Don't Say No,the tone and inflection of the guitar and vocals are classic Billy,in a good way."Love Is The Hero",which has Freddie Mercury singing along, will stick in your head for days.Freddie sticks around for the funkiest song "Lady With A Tenor Sax" and then the cd gets really good. "All We Have To Give" is an introspective and moving song that showcases Squire's lyrical abilities, and produces a strong emotional response. The aforementioned keyboards, provided by the great musician Alan St.Jon,actually lift this song to another level. And then the cd gets really good. "Come Home" flat out ROCKS.Period.And then the cd gets really good. "Break The Silence" was the big radio hit, and rightfully so.A hook so big you could catch a great white on it.Spot on chorus catchy enough for top forty playlists.Big Beat Bobby Chouinard at his finest, layin down fat drum beats as always. Then just when you get dancin' you find yourself jammin' to "Powerhouse".It features progressive build ups of individual instrumentation and energy that take you in and rock you.Wait for the heavy bass line in the jam at the end.Awesome.And then the cd gets good,as soon as "Lonely One" is over. It's a decent song, but provides the one slightly dull spot in an otherwise consistently rockin' set. "Til It's Over" is so thought provoking it can scare you.As beautiful as it is haunting,a masterpiece of moodiness.Great English guitar by Robin Jeffrey, another of the top notch contributors to this effort.Nice emotional lead guitar break too.And then the cd...is over, in the "Wink Of An Eye" the final song is upon you.As it rocks you,you realize maybe you dismissed Billy a little too soon. As the song say's "It's your life",don't let it pass without saying Enough is Enough and listening to this outstanding effort from a guy who deserved better than he got,at least for this record!Read full review
