High N Dry and Pyromania are simply my favorite Def Leppard releases. I like the straight forward guitar drivin' rock style. Joe Elliot belts out the lyrics with a great amount of swagger and style, and the bands original guitarist (now deceased) Steve Clark really showcased his awesome talents while shredding his axe on this release (listen to the instrumental "Switch 625" for an idea of just how darn good he really was). This was party rock, Saturday night cruisin' music at it finest. Back when this was new this was played at pretty much every party I went to and was a (gulp cassette?!?) cassette that it seemed like everyone owned. Raw, simple and hooky this is some of the best material from the band through all of these years. It's pretty much a must have for any fan of 1980's hard rock. This album has many overlooked tracks. Why? Only cause Bringin on the Heartbreak was filmed and played on MTV in America. Let It Go and High N' Dry (Saturday Night) were both filmed as well, but did not recieve air time. However, if you buy this album, listen to it all, and get the U.K. version, as it includes Bringin on the Heartbreak (Remix) and Me and My Wine (remix), both with Phil Collen. Seriously, get this album as it contains some overlooked tracks and is worth getting as it hints at Pyromania's successes.
Great CD from one of the big NWOBHM (New wave of British Heavy Metal)bands from the late 70's, early 1980's. Great raw tunes and great riffs by the late Steve Clark. CD was purchased as a replacement to the vinyl copy lost many years ago.

I purchased this for my husband as a gift. He has tried for years to find it in stores unsuccessfully. The first day we listened to it three times and it immediately found it's place in his car where he can listen while driving to and from work. Awesome album of Def Leopard's early work especially B side single Me and My Wine!
