I've been a King's X fan since they played in my high school gym as The Edge. I have all thier music and I've been trying to trying to find this CD since it was a new release. Well It's been hard to find since day one, and it's only become more difficult to get my hands on a hard copy. Well here it is, finally in my hands. This is probably the best King's X record I've heard since the days of Faith Hope Love and Ear Candy. Win Win!

King's X has emerged from the studio with another great disc - XV. I have been a fan since they released Out of the Silent Planet back in '88. The question always arises as to whether they are or are not a 'Christian' band. I thought they were at first due to the fact that I purchased their first two cds from Long's Christian Music. I found the lyrical content in their early music to have a bevy of 'Christian' overtones. As they've evolved, King's X's lyrics have become less 'Christian' so to speak. I don't think they are a 'Christian' band, but I do believe they have a past rooted in Christianity (Wikipedia). I also believe that their lyrics reflect their struggles with life, religion, and GOD. It simply comes out in their music. Regardless of their spiritual stand, don't turn a deaf ear to the greatest band of our time.Read full review
One of the best King's X album, maybe as good as Ear Candy (one of my favorite album). As always, there's a lot of different music style, rock ballad (sorry julie), groove, and power rock (rocket ship, alright). With inspired lyrics and vocals (repeating myself). This is King's X, no revolution, but an undeniable better album than ogre tones or manic moonlight for example... This version of the album countains 2 bonus tracks, and you should get it, No lie the last track is very fun, with a power blues riff, and an excellent solo ;).
Damnit, it's King's X... if you love great rock musicianship and vocals, which this trio is KNOWN for, I urge you to buy the CD. I was very pleased. I've been a rabid fan of this band since 1988. The most catchy tracks would be from #2 to #14 - basically every one! Track #1 is my least fave but from there on out, the CD is a gem. Maybe track #1 will grow on me. Don't worry, for you doubters out there, they're not a Christian Rock band. I'm an Atheist. King's X is pure magic in the studio and live.
